Updated social distancing protocols

Categories: Campus, Health & safety

Dear Stanford community members,

Effective Wednesday, October 28, Stanford has updated our social distancing protocols across campus in compliance with the latest Santa Clara County public health order. The county order requires that we share our protocol directly with you, and you can find it here on our Health Alerts website. Events and gatherings continue to be restricted; for guidance please refer to this overview for gatherings and meetings.

Required signage will be posted on the door of each facility in addition to other required postings. We encourage you to review the protocol for reminders of the safeguards that are important to take as we continue working to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The most important things you can continue to do are wear your face covering and practice 6-foot social distancing, along with maintaining frequent hand washing. Small steps like these have a large impact on protecting the health of our community.

Sincerely,

Russell Furr
