How will cleaning be conducted in a workspace when a COVID-19 POSITIVE CASE is reported?

If EH&S determines cleaning services are needed, impacted building spaces are cleaned and disinfected according to the University’s COVID-19 cleaning protocols, which are consistent with CDC guidance and recommendations. EH&S coordinates with the PI/Supervisor and building managers to identify and protect any sensitive equipment and/or areas to avoid.

It is important to note that the University currently conducts proactive enhanced cleaning of high-touch surfaces in common areas (i.e., door handles, elevator buttons, table tops) as an added measure to minimize  the risk of COVID transmission via surface contact.
