Join Californians combating COVID with their smartphone

CA Notify is the state’s exposure notification mobile app that enables rapid communication by the way of alerts if you’ve been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for the coronavirus. The state is encouraging all Californians to do their part to stop the spread of COVID, not only by wearing masks and social distancing but also by activating the app.

COVID-19 vaccine update

In a message to the campus community, Russell Furr, associate vice provost for Environmental Health & Safety addresses the vaccine plan for California, including the role of health care providers in the process; Stanford Health Care’s current distribution priorities; and the creation of Stanford’s COVID-19 Vaccine Governance Committee.

Change in our winter undergraduate plan

In a message to the campus community, President Marc Tessier-Lavigne and Provost Persis Drell wrote that due to the continuing COVID-19 surge, lengthening public health restrictions and their likely impact on the on-campus undergraduate experience, Stanford unfortunately will not be able to have the frosh and sophomore classes on campus for the winter quarter as planned.
