Vaccine update for Santa Clara County

Categories: Health & safety, Vaccine

Santa Clara County announced today that county residents aged 65 and older can begin making COVID-19 vaccination appointments with any of the health care providers in the county listed at sccfreevax.org, regardless of their usual health care provider or insurance.

Those without web access or who need additional assistance can call (408) 970-2000 to make appointments at County Health System vaccination sites.

The ability of these health care providers to offer vaccinations is unfortunately constrained by limited supplies of vaccine, which means that appointments may not be immediately available through all providers. The university is not receiving its own supply of vaccine, so members of the Stanford community who are 65 and older need to seek access through a health care provider such as Stanford Health Care, Kaiser Permanente, Palo Alto Medical Foundation or the county health care system.

We will continue to provide updates for our community as we have them, as information about the vaccine situation in California is changing frequently.
