Are there instances when disposable face coverings should be worn instead of cloth face coverings?

Cloth face coverings may not be appropriate in some special work environments. Disposable face coverings should be worn in specific scenarios including but not limited to:

  • clinical research with patients;
  • some BSL2+ work that requires disposable lab coats (refer to APB approval for requirements); and
  • clean rooms.
