Guidance for visitors
An order covering six Bay Area counties, including Santa Clara and San Mateo counties, requires everyone to “shelter in place” until at least May 3 to help slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. This order covers non-essential events of any size.
Campus events have been cancelled or postponed, or changed to an online format. For updates about events, please visit events.stanford.edu .
The Cantor Arts Center and Anderson Collection at Stanford University have temporarily closed their galleries.
The Dish area
The Stanford Dish will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 3.
Supplier and vendor guidance
In order to ensure the health and safety of the university community and of Stanford’s valued suppliers and vendors, it’s advised that suppliers and vendors contact their campus partners directly before making deliveries or attempting to provide on-site service. Suppliers should confirm or revise service and delivery instructions in accordance with university measures, specifically with regard to restrictions around building access and limited operations.
Please note that effective March 18,2020, the following message will appear on all Purchase Orders:
SPECIAL SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPPLIERS Due to the severity of COVID-19 Stanford University will have a reduced workforce which could impact deliveries. If you are a supplier planning to deliver products between March 17 – April 8, 2020, please contact the requestor listed on your purchase order to confirm delivery instructions.
